About the MCC
The Medford Community Chorale & Youth/Young Adult Chorus is directed by Betsy Pesce, accompanied by Dr. Holly Zagaria.
The Medford Community Chorale (MCC), which was formed in November 2019, provides educational and performance opportunities in the art of choral singing for ALL interested youth and adult singers who are residents of Medford and surrounding communities. The MCC has grown to 70+ adult and 20+ youth/young adult singers, and always welcomes new members!
The Chorale, which presents choral performances to the public twice a year, gave its first public performance at the Medford (MA) Inauguration at the Chevalier Theatre on January 5, 2020. A youth/young adult chorus was added when the Chorale resumed rehearsals at the end of January 2020 and is featured in each concert. After the pandemic brought everything to a halt in March 2020, the chorale went on to create six “virtual choir” videos, which are available for viewing on YouTube: “Medford Community Chorale.” The group, which recently presented its holiday concert, “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!”, donated an additional performance the next day as part of the annual Medford Jingle Bell Festival, to benefit Community Family Adult Day Care Center’s Buddy Coholan Memory Loss Center. The MCC has also performed at the Senior Center and local nursing homes and at other special community events, and proceeds from concert program ad books are donated to a local charity/organization.

Dear Betsy, this note is in praise of The MCC Spring concert performance Introducing key players, managing rehearsals, remembering names, right down to the printed program gave us a glimpse of your dedication and love for music.
