Good morning friends,

Here I am again with my weekly “update”.

I hope you and your families are all well as we all continue to adjust to our new “normal”.

As most of you have probably heard, the president has extended the social distancing order, and Governor Baker has announced that all schools will remain closed until at least April 30th. So, unfortunately, I think it is safe to say that a May 31st concert is not possible. Once this crisis is over, and it has been deemed safe for us all to come together again, I will work with our friends at Tufts to determine a new date for our concert.

In the meantime, please keep practicing when you can with your links! Over the weekend I sent each of you – and Julie put up on our webpage <here> – links to the parts for our last concert piece, “Sing!”, which we will be doing together with the youth chorus.

And youth chorus members, this week I am hoping to be able to record and to send to you / put up on our webpage, the parts for your pieces as well…a little musical homework for you!

So for now, please just take good care of yourselves. I miss you all!

Good morning, dear friends,

I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and well in these strange and scary times.

Since my message to you last week, as you probably know, the Mayor made the decision that the Medford Public Schools will remain closed until at least April 6.

I miss you all(!) and I look forward to the time when it will be safe for all of us to be together again, and to resume the wonderful work you all began.

I was in touch with the great folks at Tufts Community Relations last week, and I can promise you that, when this crisis is over, we WILL have a concert!

In the meantime, take good care!

Just a reminder that we will be continuing our rehearsals this Wednesday evening, March 11 – youth chorus at 6:15 and full chorale at 7 PM – in the third floor music room in the McGlynn middle school here in Medford. NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME!

I am so enjoying working with all of you as we prepare for our spring concert, and I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday evening!
