(FYI, I (Betsy) saw the kids’ performance in September at medford high school, and they were fabulous!)

The Medford Mustangs Marching Band invites you and your family to come watch their 2023 Show- My Immortal Beloved:

Location: Hormel Stadium ( next to the McGlynn school )
    Date: Saturday November 4, 2023
    Time: 7 pm

Free of charge.

Come cheer the kids on as they get ready to compete at the last competition of the season this Sunday, November 5th in Lawrence.
The music is a mashup of Beethoven and Evanescence. The kids are vampires, really cool show.

Alyssa Littlejohn sings at Gordon College Dec 1 and 2

From Bonnie Littlejohn (Alyssa’s mom):

Hello, Everyone!

Please read this email. I know it is long but I am just trying to be as detailed as I can. Since I am not on Facebook, this email is my way of getting this information out there!

I am sending along some information about The 33rd Annual Christmas Gala at Gordon College (The North Shore’s Largest Christmas Celebration per Gordon College). And yes, Alyssa is performing throughout the evening as a member of both the choir and orchestra. Details:

Two options for the same show:

Friday, December 1, 2023 @ 7:30pm (at the A. J. Gordon Memorial Chapel)

Saturday, December 2, 2023 @ 7:30pm (at the A. J. Gordon Memorial Chapel)

Tickets are $25 each.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, November 1 @ 10am. Here is a link to more information and the link to reserve tickets, as seating is assigned. https://www.gordon.edu/gala

Prior to the Saturday Gala, there is a FREE event on campus:

Campus Lighting Festival 4–7 p.m. on Clarendon Commons (in front of the A. J. Gordon Memorial Chapel)

This one-night event offers cocoa and cookies near the warm fire, kids crafts, a tree lighting and community stage featuring North Shore Christian School and God’s Chosen Gospel Choir. Invite your family and friends for this wonderful community event, the tree lighting will be at 5 p.m.

We have been to this Gala the past few years, and it is a beautiful evening of Christmas music and scripture. It lasts about 75 minutes with no intermission. We can only go to the Saturday night Gala this year because Scott and Erica are performing in the Medford Community Chorale Holiday Concert on the first night, December 1. (BTW I can give you more information about this FREE concert at Medford High School.)

I am just letting you all know about this now as tickets go fast for this popular event. Again, they go on sale Wednesday, November 1st. If you are local and want to enjoy a beautiful night of Christmas music and scripture, this is the event for you! (If you are not local, you can view the Friday night performance livestreamed. I believe you need to purchase $20 tickets for this. Again, the above link has the information.)

Please let me know if you have any questions. ****Scott is reserving seats for us at 10am Wednesday morning. If you want to sit with us or near us on Saturday night, let me know and I will have him reserve your seats with us.***

Bonnie

Rehearsal on Sept 13 will be at the First Baptist Church of Medford, 34 Oakland St.

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE! CHANGE OF VENUE FOR WEDNESDAY’S REHEARSAL ⚠️

Good morning everyone!

I just want to let you know right away that, unfortunately, because of the parent “meet and greet” night this Wednesday, we are not able to rehearse at the McGlynn middle school. The Andrews school around the corner is also not available to us.

However, Holly and Reverend Matt (pastor of the First Baptist Church) have graciously offered us space at the church for our rehearsals on Wednesday evening.

The First Baptist Church is located at 34 Oakland St, right off Salem Street in Medford Square (just to give you a “landmark”…there is a sporting goods store on the corner of Salem Street and Oakland Street).

I am most grateful to Holly and Reverend Matt! And to all of you, for your flexibility!

Have a good couple of days, and I look forward to seeing you all at the First Baptist Church on Wednesday!

~Betsy

P.S. from Julie — The store on the corner is the old Medford Sporting Goods Store, now called Pure Hockey.
