Band leader Mark Torgerson will be wearing a different hat, while still playing guitar on Sept 16th, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Arts at the Armory, Rooted Cafe, 191 Highland Ave, Somerville with Lady Ray and Her Jazz Birds, led by vocalist Raynell Shepard.  

MCC Spring Concert 2023 on Malden TV

For those of you who live in Malden – or who have family and friends in Malden! – I just received notice of the broadcast schedule for our spring concert on Malden TV (UMA – Urban Media Arts).

Our concert will be broadcast on Mondays at 6:30 PM and Fridays at 9:30 PM on Comcast channel 3 and Verizon channel 28 in Malden.

As soon as we have the broadcast schedule for the concert on Medford Community Media, I will share that with all of you as well! 

Medford Community Chorale (MCC) Opens Its Fall Season September 6th

​The Medford Community Chorale & Youth / Young Adult Chorus opens its fall season on September 6th, when rehearsals begin in preparation for their 2023 holiday concert. The concert is scheduled for Friday, December 1st, at 7 PM in the Caron Theatre  at Medford High School, and new members are welcome … PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING US!    

The concert, which is entitled “Let It Snow!”, will be a celebration of the season, and will consist of a varied program of holiday selections ranging from classical to popular to sacred to Hanukkah. Proceeds from the concert program book will be donated to Chapters Coffee Carts Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported worksite, located in the Charlotte and William Bloomberg Medford Public Library, whose mission is to help advance the lives of Medford’s disabled persons seeking employment and professional skills on the job training, so that they may flourish and become part of the broader workforce. 
  
There are no auditions and the only requirement is a love of singing!  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings in the first floor music room in the McGlynn Middle School, located at 3002 Mystic Valley Parkway here in Medford: youth/young adult chorus at 6 PM, and full chorus from 7 to 8:30 PM.
