Calling All Singers! Rehearsals begin Jan 31 2024.

Rehearsals begin January 31st for MCC Youth/Young Adult Chorus Spring Concert – New Members Welcome!

Rehearsals begin January 31st for the Medford Community Chorale & Youth/Young Adult Chorus (MCC) spring concert, scheduled for Friday, May 17th at 7 PM in the Caron Theatre  at Medford High School, and new members are welcome!  The concert is entitled “A Grand Night for Singing!”, and proceeds from the concert program book will be donated to the Medford Family Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which strengthens families by providing education and services to positively impact the development of children, prenatal to age 8.

There are no auditions required to become a member of the MCC, and the only requirement is a love of singing!  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at First Baptist Church on 34 Oakland Street (off Salem Street) in Medford Square: youth/young adult chorus at 6 PM and full chorus from seven to 8:30 PM.

For more information or to join, please contact director Betsy Pesce at elizabethpesce@comcast.net or 617-335-8155.

“The Medford Community Chorale, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is supported in part by grants from the ArtsAlive Medford Foundation, the City of Medford Community Fund Grant and the Medford Arts Council, a local commission that is supported by the Mass Cultural Council and the City of Medford.”

MCC Holiday 2023 Concert — “Let It Snow!” — broadcast schedule:

On MALDEN TV, the concert will air on Mondays at 4:00 pm and Thursdays at 12 noon. If you live in Malden, it’s Comcast Channel 3. If you have Verizon / FIOS, you can view the concert on Channel 28 from nearby cities.

I’m still working with Medford TV to get the broadcast schedule for Comcast Channel 3 (Medford).

Erica Littlejohn is having a fundraiser Sunday, Dec 3rd

From Erica Littlejohn:

Hello,

I am writing to you to let you know of an important event coming up.

On December 3, 2023 (which also happens to be my sixteenth birthday!), there is a craft fair going on at the Beebe School in Malden. For my National Honor Society (NHS) service project, I am going to be selling paw prints that I have crocheted, and I will be donating 100% of the money to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA).

I would love it if you could come to this craft fair to help me raise money for the MSPCA. If you are unable to attend the event and would still like to contribute, you can donate on my donation website page, linked below. Photos of the crocheted paw prints are on this website. Any donation helps and is much appreciated.

Thank you all for considering this event. I hope to see you there!

Erica
